Mount Aloysius College invites applications from highly qualified individuals in the field of Information Technology to join our team of faculty as an Assistant Professor & Department Chair for Information Technology beginning August 2019.

Current Opening

The open position offers a regular, full-time 9.5-month appointment with core teaching and administrative responsibilities from August to May; and an additional 10 days during the summer months.  A workload of 24 credit hours or equivalent is required for full-time faculty.   The successful candidate will be responsible to teach upper-level programming (Java, C++), SQL, database design, logic, and cybersecurity-related courses. 

Full-time faculty are further expected to hold regular office hours, advise students academically, perform assigned committee work, assist with Departmental initiatives and participate in other College activities.

Qualifications

At least three years of full-time college-level teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science required; Doctorate preferred.  Prior administrative experience as a department chair required.  Qualified applicants will have at least 7 years recent, professional experience in programming, database, and cybersecurity.
