Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a per diem Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide in person and onsite counseling for undergraduate students.  Position is available immediately for up to 20 hours per week during the current academic year.

This position will augment the Counseling services provided at the College by holding day and/or evening individual and/or group counseling sessions for students experiencing social, emotional, vocational and/or academic difficulties.  Makes appropriate referrals for other campus or outside services.  May lead on-campus outreach programs provided by the Counseling Office.   Work is performed under general supervision and performance is evaluated based upon completion of sessions and results obtained.



Active licensure in PA as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in good standing required.  Master’s degree in counseling or closely related field also required.  One (1) to three (3) years of counseling experience required preferably with young adults.  Demonstrated experience with crisis intervention strongly preferred.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to apply various counseling theories, diagnose and adhere to brief treatment plan goals.  Ability to establish and maintain effective counseling relationships and monitor student progress in the therapy process also required.
