Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a highly motivated individual to join our NCAA Division III Athletics organization in a unique hands-on, 10-month learning experience as a Coaching Intern/Assistant Soccer Coach for our Women's Soccer team.  The Intern will function like an Assistant Soccer Coach and have the opportunity to learn how to coach, build and develop a successful soccer team.  This is a non-paid internship; however, a stipend is provided to assist with expenses along with a meal plan.

Current Opening


The Intern will assist in the coordination of practice and game day preparation; and have the opportunity to assist with and learn scouting techniques for assessing the opposition, scouting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, and compiling scouting reports.  The incumbent will learn about necessary administrative tasks including but not limited to social media, travel, equipment management, etc.  Finally, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead goalkeeper sessions, assist with outfield sessions, and perform other duties as assigned.


The Intern/Assistant Soccer Coach must comply with NCAA Division III and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regulations; and is subject to NCAA enforcement provisions for violations.



Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of Collegiate playing experience required. Previous coaching experience (at any level) also required. Previous goalkeeping experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, recruits, alumni, and administration a must. Ability to lead small and large groups within a team setting also required. Demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms and effective problem-solving skills strongly desired. Ability to work independently and move quickly between tasks is highly valued. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays required. Travel and occasional overnight stays expected for games and recruiting. Knowledge of NCAA Division III and AMCC rules and regulations a plus.
