Mount Aloysius College invites applications to join our Institutional Advancement team as a full-time, year-round Director of Prospect Management and Research.

The Director of Prospect Management and Research (DPMR) will be responsible for identifying potential donors and developing prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.  This position supports the Advancement team in all aspects of establishing and maintaining the long-term philanthropic relationships between the College and its constituents.  Tracking individual and team progress towards fundraising goals and building portfolios of prospects who have major gift potential are other primary responsibilities of the DPMR. 

The DPMR will be proficient in all aspects of database management.  Regular analysis of the database will inform the department of new opportunities and future action.  Data mining for internal and external information will help substantiate specific action plans for prospects. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s preferred.  Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in database research and management, preferably in higher education.  Demonstrated record of accomplishment in the field of database research and management required.  Experience with Raiser’s Edge, PG Calc, and WealthEngine software a plus.  Successful work experience using an array of outside philanthropic resources, publications, services and software is also desirable.  Thorough understanding of fundraising best practices is necessary.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, listening and ability to build relationships across a diverse spectrum of individuals a must.
