The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Mount Aloysius College seeks a highly qualified registered nurse for an immediate opening in our simulation lab.

Current Opening

The Lab/Simulation Assistant is a 10-month, part-time staff position from August to May annually, and requires up to 28 hours of work per week.  The successful candidate will assist the Nursing & Health Technologies Director, Simulation Coordinator, and support faculty and students in simulation experiences. This position leads set-up and clean-up of lab and simulation activities and clinical sessions in the lab.  Also assists simulation facilitators with the operation of simulator and AV equipment during simulation sessions. The successful candidate is responsible to maintain correct inventory levels, reconcile related purchase orders, prepare laundry and sharps disposal, and ensure correct storage and maintenance of supplies essential to the operation of the lab and simulation area.  Also assists with open lab when necessary.


Valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse in Pennsylvania required. Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) also required, with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in clinical settings. Experience with low and high-fidelity/technology, virtual and procedural skills in simulation strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and ability to occasionally lift simulation equipment up to 50 lbs. also required.
