Mount Aloysius College seeks highly skilled and enthusiastic Certified Athletic Trainer to join our Athletics program as the Head Athletic Trainer beginning August 2019.  The Mountie’s are a full member of the NCAA Division III and compete in the AMCC Conference.  We offer 15 varsity sports and serve approximately 200 student athletes.

Current Opening 
This position is a regular, full-time 11-month appointment from August 1 to June 30 each year.  

Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Head Athletic Trainer regularly provides coverage for team practices and home events; and is responsible for all aspects of the College’s athletic training program.  Instructs student athletes in the prevention, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and works with Coaching Staff to implement best practices for sport specific injury prevention.  Assesses player injuries during games and/or practices and provides care and treatment as appropriate and within scope of practice.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and knowledge of the rules and regulations of the NCAA, the AMCC Conference, and Title IX as it relates to intercollegiate athletics.  Regular evening and weekend hours required.
Master’s degree in athletic training from an accredited College or University, Certification through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Board of Certification (NATABOC), and licensed, or eligible for license, by the PA State Board of Medicine as an Athletic Trainer required.  Current CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications required.  Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years athletic training experience required, preferably in collegiate athletics.
