Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a full-time Career Development Director to assist students in career planning initiatives from matriculation to post graduation. The Director develops and delivers workshops, programs, and class presentations on career exploration resources, résumé-writing, interview skills, and job/internship/graduate school search skills.

This position collaborates with staff, faculty and administration; and conducts outreach activities to engage with employers to post jobs, internships and on-campus recruiting initiatives.  This position teaches three credits per year of LA 105 - Personal Strategic Planning.  Also assists exploratory/undeclared students to clarify academic and career goals through individual career counseling, classroom exercises, personalized worksheets, career assessment inventories, job presentations, and strategic goal-setting.  The Director works collaboratively with Academic Advising and the Registrar to help students identify potential majors and career paths based on their goals, credits, skills and abilities. 
Master’s degree in an academic field, higher ed or related field required.  Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in career development and planning required preferably in higher ed setting.  Demonstrated ability to facilitate individual and group sessions required.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.  Position is 11 month appointment from August through June each year.
