Mount Aloysius College, recognized by ModernThink as a 2022 and 2023 “Great College to Work For,” is searching for qualified applicants from ACT 120 Certified Law Enforcement Officers to join our team of Police and Safety professionals to serve as a part-time Campus Safety Officer on campus.

The Campus Safety
Department provides a safe and secure learning and working environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.  Duties include but are not limited to: vehicular and foot patrols of campus buildings and grounds, event parking and traffic control, enforcement of criminal and traffic laws, as well as College promulgated rules and regulations, investigation of crimes, completion of police reports, and testifying in court. Additionally, Officers are asked to assist with educational programming and to engage with students in positive and proactive ways. Safety related tasks will also be assigned and may include building inspections, smoke detector and fire extinguisher checks, among others. 

Minimum Qualifications

Strong desire to work in a College environment is a must.  High School Diploma or GED required. Act 120 Municipal Police Training or PA State Police Academy required. Three (3) years of law enforcement experience required, preferably in a College or University setting. Valid PA Driver's License and current CPR/AED certification required.

Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a psychological evaluation, criminal, child abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.

This part-time position is not eligible for remote work or benefits.  This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
